When it comes to planning your wedding, there are so many stressful elements to it. Of course, there have to be some stressful elements, after all, you have to make some big decisions when it comes to the actual wedding, the guests lists for starters. One of the most fun parts of wedding planning has to be the moment you get to try on a wedding dress for the first time. It is such an amazing feeling to be surrounded by beautiful gowns, and it can be overwhelming. A wedding dress needs to be right for you, so even if you think you know what you want the best advice is to try on different styles and see how they look and feel. It is definitely a highlight. 

Making your own invitations

You may not want to do this, so this may only apply to a certain few, but making your own wedding invitations can be a lot of fun. Designing them, putting them together in an evening, and stuffing the envelopes ready to send out. The whole process can be therapeutic as well as allow you to put your creative skills to the test. 

Picking the theme and/or colour scheme

Spending time researching the theme or colour scheme may actually be a lot of fun for you. Surrounding yourself with bridal magazines, looking online at websites like Pinterest for inspiration, and reading about real weddings recorded on blogs or in print. It can give you a lot of inspiration and ideas on what you might like for your wedding. 

Choosing the venue

The venue is actually a difficult decision to make, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be a fun process deciding on where you want to get married. Choosing a venue may have your weekends full of appointments in different locations, but while you are seeing different places try and imagine your wedding there. Whether this is a location for the reception party, the ceremony, or both, you want to make sure that it works well for your ideas as well as how many guests you plan on having. 

Getting excited about the wedding and marriage with your partner

Finally, the best and most fun aspect of wedding planning has to be the excitement that you will feel with your partner in the lead up to the big day. You will talk about it and make decisions for the wedding day itself, but don’t lose sight of why you are doing it. Getting married means you are spending the rest of your life with this person, and that can be the most exciting thought you have along the way.
